The 200th birthday of Pastor Sebastian Kneipp: On the occasion of the special anniversary, many Kneipp baths shine in new splendor this year. This is thanks to the special program “Tourist Infrastructure – Kneipp Facilities” of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, which supports municipalities throughout Bavaria in the expansion and modernization of Kneipp facilities. The first 19 projects can already be implemented now. “The funding notices will be sent out by the district governments this week. In this way, the municipalities can start promptly to bring their health tourism infrastructure up to date in the Kneipp year 2021, ”says Fabian Mehring, Parliamentary Managing Director of the FW state parliamentary group. As part of the special program, 106 Kneipp projects are currently being funded with a total of 1.5 million euros. The municipality in the district of Dillingen will soon also be able to do this Bissingen with a new construction of a water treading area in the natural waters of the boiler and the city Dillingen tackle their projects with three planned natural Kneipp facilities in Kicklingen, Fristingen and Donaualtheim. In order to meet the high demand – by the end of the application deadline on November 30, 2020, 174 applications were received – the program was increased by one million euros at the initiative of the Free Voters in the state parliament, according to Mehring’s press release.
