That is why the Ministry of the Environment has given 18 additional impulses with the “More Climate Protection Program”. Additional measures for climate protection and adaptation were developed that go beyond the Integrated Climate Protection Plan Hessen 2025 (IKSP). This year 31 funding applications with a total volume of 2.4 million euros were approved, 24 projects with one hundred percent funding came from the climate communities. “With the money we can implement our project,” said the local member of the Green Party, Katrin Schleenbecker, in a press release. For example, educational offers on the subject of climate, water resource management, municipal soil protection concepts, charging infrastructure for e-mobility and much more are funded.
