Money, equipment, accommodation: how to help Ukraine from Rennes?

After the invasion of Ukraine by Russia February 24, “The City of Rennes and Rennes Métropole provide their support and solidarity to the Ukrainians in this terrible ordeal”, indicate the two communities. This surge of solidarity is also seen among the inhabitants, with numerous offers of donations, material aid and solidarity accommodation.

To respond effectively to the needs noted by the actors in the field, a press release was issued, with suggestions for providing assistance. This aid can take several forms: cash donations to associations with links in neighboring countries of Ukraine, collection of equipment and/or proposals for solidarity accommodation.

Make a donation

Many international humanitarian associations (Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, Secours Catholique, Secours Populaire, Unicef, etc.) are already on the ground, particularly with the refugee populations in Poland, Moldova, Slovakia, Romania, and in Ukraine with the first victims.

Provide medical equipment

The City of Rennes has set up a system for collecting donations of medical equipment, reserved for healthcare professionals only. Donations can be made on the Malifeu site, 11, rue du Bourbonnais in Rennes, by appointment with [email protected].

Host and welcome

Families could be brought to take refuge in France. The Brittany-Ukraine Solidarity collective identifies the solidarity accommodation proposals of the inhabitants.
