In a recent letter, Postfinance informed us about charging a credit fee of 0.75 percent on credit that exceeds the defined threshold. We are shocked

Other readers feel the same way as you. The charging of a credit fee, as Postfinance calls it, has met with a lot of criticism. The term “credit fee” is of course whitewashing. In fact, Postfinance does nothing else than pass the negative interest it has to pay the National Bank on to its customers in full. Postfinance and other banks had already had negative interest rates before.
