Construction work is due to start at the beginning of November, in the La Rouvelière industrial zone in Spay. The site will soon be occupied by teams from the company expert in parcel delivery to individuals: Mondial Relay.
7,229 m² of buildings will be erected in 2024 on the land sold by the Le Mans metropolis. The construction should be completed in summer 2024
, announces Renald Ballureau, operational director of the company Exia, responsible for project management. 645 m² of premises will be reserved for office spaces. The rest of the future messaging platform will take the form of a large warehouse where packages will pass and then returned by road transport to the recipients.
Creation of 80 to 100 jobs
This establishment in Sarthe is part of a program to build six messaging platforms in France, all of which will be leased to Mondial Relay. The overall investment, worth €54 million, is carried out by Épopée Gestion, future owner of the premises. To carry out the operation, the investment company relies on the collective of entrepreneurs Axtom and therefore on the Orléans real estate developer Exia.
In addition to the Spay site, the towns of Niort (5,738m²), Agen (3,950m²), Brive-la-Gaillarde (7,208m²), Troyes (7,268m²) and Mont-de-Marsan (5,072m²) will also host a Mondial platform. Relay (tenant). All should be delivered before the end of 2024.

Around ten heavy goods vehicles per day
For the French courier company, specializing in the delivery of parcels, the location near Le Mans constitutes a necessarily interesting strategic positioning, on an important road axis.
The activity will, however, involve road traffic accordingly. Around ten heavy goods vehicles will be in circulation on average each day. To this must be added, small trucks for short distance deliveries.
