SERIES. Rap in all its forms
At 9 p.m. on Canal +. Successful bet for Franck Gastambide! The 41-year-old actor-director offered himself a box with “Valide”, the first episodes of which are broadcast on Canal +, this Monday evening. Put online at the start of containment, the series has become the most watched in the history of the chain with 20 million views recorded on the MyCanal and Canal Séries platforms.
“Validated” follows the adventures of Apash (Hatik), a young aspiring rapper who is trying to dethrone the taulier of the genre, Mastar, interpreted by Moussa Mansaly, also artistic advisor of the project. But by disembarking in this extremely clan and sometimes violent environment, the young man will discover the dark beneath.
If some sizes of the style like Ninho, Soprano, Kool Shen, Lacrim appear on the screen, they do not overshadow other excellent scores. The young actors Saïdou Camara, and Brahim Bouhlel, shine while camping the relatives of the hero. The first, young man of 26, from Saint-Denis, was spotted during the casting, him that nothing was going to make comedy. Good pick, he is particularly endearing in the role of the apprentice manager. As for his sidekick, Brahim Bouhlel, he stood out on social networks after one of his sketches was relayed by the humorist Hakim Jemili. Funny at each appearance.
In short, an impeccable cast, served by a nervous writing, articulated in short episodes of half an hour, which all end in breathless suspense. The alchemy makes this first series dedicated to French rap, particularly effective and tinged with a meticulous realism. The filming of season 2, postponed due to coronavirus, should start this summer. With a season 1 finale in punch, fans’ expectations are already enormous.

MOVIE. Unforgettable Simone
At 1:50 p.m., on France 3. Everyone loves “Golden Helmet”. Spectators and actors. The character of Marie, the young prostitute played by a sublime Signoret, capsizes hearts. In particular that of the men, ready to kill for her like Manda, carpenter, former thug and mad of the young lady.
Fatal love, destructive passion. Magnificently produced by Jacques Becker and inspired by a true story, “Casque d’or” is an unforgettable melody embodied by the perfect couple formed by Simone Signoret and Serge Reggiani. We’re always talking about the dazzling actress. Not enough of the actor, great in a little crazy stiff strike with his sweet. A great actor, Reggiani has above all become a huge singer capable of making us cry as much, if not more, than in this indestructible classic.

COMEDY. A gold family
At 9 p.m. on C8. It is not easy to stand on your own two feet and leave the family nest when you enter adulthood. Even more so when his parents are deaf and dumb. The only hearing person in her tribe who counts on her to communicate with the outside world, Paula, a high school student, discovers a talent for singing.
His music teacher encouraged him to take the competition to integrate the mastery of Radio France. Leave his countryside where his parents are farmers and his father is preparing to run for an electoral mandate to settle in Paris? Sacred dilemma for this young girl. By approaching the handicap, the “Aries Family” avoids pouring into the mix. Here, we laugh a lot too, we open our eyes to the difference and we are overcome by emotion.
Led by its formidable cast – including Karin Viard, hilarious François Damiens, passionate Eric Elmosnino and Louane Emera who had won the César award for best female hope in 2015 – the film oscillates between comedy and drama with subtlety and without turning to caricature.

DRAMA. Marion Cotillard immigrant
At 9 p.m., on Arte. No one has filmed so closely, so precisely, the shock of these generations of immigrants arriving in waves in New York in the 1920s. Probably because the filmmaker James Gray, grandson of Ukrainian immigrants, knew his subject.
Two Polish women, Ewa (Marion Cotillard) and her sister Magda, disembark at Ellis Island, a must for America from destitute Eastern Europe. Magda, a tuberculosis patient, is placed in quarantine. Ewa, alone, falls into the nets of pimp Bruno (Joaquin Phoenix). To save her sister, she agrees to prostitute herself. The arrival of Orlando (Jeremy Renner), illusionist and cousin of Bruno, will give him hope … A vibrant, overwhelming melo and a magnificent portrait of a woman, worthy even in the worst, by a startling Marion Cotillard, with an incredible Polish accent.

SERIES. Magic potion
At 9 p.m. on Gulli. Want lightness? This very sweet fiction gives in good feelings and nice pictures. However, we find with pleasure Catherine Bell (“JAG”, “American Wives”) in the role of Cassie, who lives in the small town of Middletown with her daughter Grace. Cassie being an herbalist, she spends her time concocting herbal teas and potions for the well-being of her loved ones and the inhabitants. So much so that when a new doctor settles in the area, the latter finds himself idle.
Because the effectiveness of Cassie’s remedies and her daughter’s intuition hide real magical powers … We quickly fall under the spell of the handsome doctor, played by James Denton. The faithful of “Desperate Housewives” will recognize it at first glance. Sympathetic family series, “Suspicion of magic” also applies above all to its performers.
