Mönchengladbach From January 31st, the 3rd Chamber Concert of the Symphony Orchestra can be viewed via stream, the 3rd Children’s Concert and the 4th Symphony Concert will follow shortly.

All music lovers have had to forego live concert experiences since November, but the Niederrheinische Sinfoniker are still trying to enable their audience to enjoy classical music at least via online streams. After a symphony concert and a children’s concert in December and a New Year’s greeting, the musicians will continue their online performances on Sunday, January 31st with a chamber concert. Then music lovers can look forward to brass chamber music for free on the Youtube channel of Theater Krefeld Mönchengladbach from 11 a.m.

First you can hear “Triptyque” for three trumpets by Fernand Desprez. Solo trombonist Berten Claeys raves about it: “It is without a doubt one of the best chamber music pieces ever written for the trombone.” This is followed by Victor Ewald’s brass quintet, which is also worth discovering. Both works were on the program of the 3rd Chamber Concert, which cannot be played due to the current lockdown.

The musicians recorded two further works of this chamber concert “Trio, Quartet, Quintet … Brass” in the first lockdown. The video of this concert can also still be found on the theater’s YouTube channel.

The third children’s concert “Mensch, Haydn”, which will also be shown free of charge on the YouTube channel from mid-February, is also in preparation for video streams. The 4th symphony concert with a pure Schubert program is available from February 6th on classic.nl/konzertzuhause for a small fee. More information on these two streams will follow.
