To beat Montpellier this afternoon at home, Monaco can count on Aleksandr Golovin and Eliesse Ben Seghir. The Russian and the French had been infected with a virus in Lens. They had not played and their creativity had failed their team.
This week, Monaco coach Philippe Clement said Golovin only trained once with the rest of the squad. The Belgian did not know how much playing time he could give him but he slipped it into his eleven against MHSC. On the other hand, Ben Seghir starts in the shoes of the substitute.
Diatta and Ben Seghir replacing
Holder but generally disappointing in recent weeks, Krepin Diatta starts on the bench. The Senegalese winger, who did not like Philippe Clement’s remonstrances at the end of training on Friday, had clashed with his coach.
It is Edan Diop who will officiate at his post. Sofiane’s brother will experience his first tenure with the professional group.
To replace Vanderson in the right lane, Clement has chosen Ruben Aguilar. The Brazilian had missed his performance at Bollaert.
