McCaul said the Biden administration and the National Security Council (NSC) are still divided over “what weapons and how quickly” to send them to Ukraine, but “we’re seeing increased momentum to send missiles and aircraft.” It is possible,” he said. “In any case, training can begin immediately to prepare pilots,” he said.
During a visit to Kyiv as part of a delegation of US lawmakers, McCall met with President Zelensky. He said the president had requested weapons, including F-16s and ATACMS, which he said would also be used against Crimea to attack Iranian drones used in recent airstrikes.
