The police post in Pejompongan, Central Jakarta was burned by a number of mobs. The mob launched the action after previously clashing with the police.
“Yes, that’s right (Pejompongan police post was burned),” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E Zulpan when contacted, Monday (11/4/2022).
20 Seconds monitoring, the masses began to move towards Pejompongan from the front of the DPR building at around 18.00 WIB. Then the crowd clashed with the police who tried to disperse.
Police fired tear gas at the crowd. But the mob fought it off by shooting fireworks.
After that at around 18.40 WIB, the mass of action suddenly damaged the attributes of the Pejompongan police post. In fact, not long after that, a number of people approached the police post and soon set it on fire.
Now the masses have dispersed and the situation is gradually conducive. A number of provocateurs have been arrested by the police.
