Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
The arrival of Russian troops into the territory of Kazakhstan on Thursday (6/1) sparked clashes in Almaty.
Local police claim to have killed dozens of rioters during the night. They have also arrested at least 2,000 people involved in the clashes.
Meanwhile, from the authorities, there were 18 troops who died, two of whom were found beheaded. The riots in Kazakhstan occurred because residents protested the increase in gas fuel prices.
This condition prompted the government to issue a state of emergency and ask Russia for help to control the situation.
