The American politician categorically answered the socialist that the restrictions for our compatriots should be removed.
Momchil Nekov, since the beginning of his activity in the EP, has been insisting on removing the visas for Bulgarians for the USA and Canada. He addressed a question to the EC and the government of Bulgaria, in the person of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov. In it, he asked for reactions to the lack of action by the Commission, which after April this year had to take a stand on third countries that impose visa restrictions on EU citizens, in this case the US and Canada. In addition, Nekov is adamant that America expects the approval of the trade agreement by all European countries (TPTI), but continues to select which of our citizens will receive a visa and which will not.
The BSP MEP held a number of meetings with representatives of large companies working in the field of technology. According to him, the sector in America is supported by the government financially and logistically. “The US is investing in cyber security. The politics of technology companies is extremely flexible. In addition, government decisions are passed, unlike in Europe”, Nekov pointed out.
The BSP MEP is scheduled to visit Google in San Francisco and meet with the directors of the US-Poland Trade Council and the US-Poland Innovation Hub. Later, he will also meet with the European business community in the city. At Stanford University, he will talk to a number of scientists and professors. A meeting is also planned at Intel.
