The few photos in this report were taken during the funeral of Maman Julia Rabetsaroana Rabefanonta born Ravaosolo, on August 30, 2023, respectively at the Notre Dame de l’Assomption Catholic Church, in Imerinafovoany, and at the family vault located in Anosikely Andohatanjona Itaosy .
Mom was a discreet woman but extremely sensitive to the problems related to her compatriots. She and Papa (Irénée Rabefanonta Rabetsaroana) were a real pair when it came to helping others.
From Mahamasina to Mandrosoa Ivato, via Independence Avenue, their life practically dedicated to others has never suffered from even the shadow of a scandal.
His great-grandchildren, Mathis, Timeo, Raphaël and Lana, had the privilege of having known their great-grandmother. Indeed, Maman Julia left this Earth of passage at the age of 90, on August 27, 2023.
For the record, Papa Irénée’s wife was the sister of Odéam Rakoto, a man of theatre, dance and music, playwright and defender of Malagasy culture and language.
