They were crossing the road at the intersection between via Borgo Palazzo and via Serassi and Rovelli when, due to causes under investigation by the local police of Bergamo, they were hit by a car
. The accident happened on Thursday 10 November around 5:20 pm. The woman was transported to the Humanitas Gavazzeni hospital, in green code, for checks. Still to be clarified whether the child was a few meters ahead of her mother, in the street, or was next to her, hand in hand.
