A video circulating showing the action of the Governor of Maluku Murad Ismail | challenged a resident to a fight while on a visit to Buru, Maluku. The action went viral on social media and made the Maluku Provincial Government speak up.
Reported secondsSulsel, Murad visited Buru while inaugurating the Red and White Port on Saturday (9/7/2022). There, Murad was greeted with demonstrations by a number of people.
In the video, Murad can see the demonstration under the event tent. Suddenly, Murad seemed to stand up and reply to the screams of the participants in the action. “Wow, let’s go katong (we) are going to (fight). We haven’t had this in a long time,” said Murad in the video.

Confirming the incident, Head of the Maluku Communications and Information Office, Titus FL Renwarin, confirmed the incident. Titus said, Murad’s response was absolutely not wanting to start a fight.
“There is no real problem, not fighting. It’s just reactive,” said Titus, Sunday (10/7/2022).
He said the commotion made by the participants in the action at the location of the event had made Murad emotional. “If the person is shouting like that and is heard directly by the person concerned, it will be emotional too. Moreover, calling out that name,” he concluded.
