Authorities are investigating a Molotov cocktail attack inside a Manhattan beauty salon that burned two people, including a Hispanic, on Sunday, New York City Police said.
The attack occurred at about 5:15 p.m. in the Sasa room located at 129 Eldridge St when someone threw the artifact, the uniformed woman said. A 60-year-old Asian woman ended up with burns to her face, torso and back and a 46-year-old Hispanic man with burns all over his body.
Both victims were transported to Weill Cornell Medicine Burn Center and their condition is unknown.
Details of the suspected suspect(s) in the attack or if there are any arrests were not released.
This is a case under investigation.
