“Molotov cocktail” thrown at the Russian consulate in Lvov (video)

On the night of December 24, a “Molotov cocktail” was thrown into the Russian Consulate General in Lvov. The police opened a criminal case for hooliganism. About it informs Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.

Law enforcers report that at about 3 am an unknown person threw a bottle of flammable liquid into the fence of the Russian Consulate General in Lvov.

According to the police, no damage was done to the building and no one was injured as a result of the attack. Law enforcers establish the circumstances of the incident and carry out priority investigative actions.

On the fact of the incident, an investigation was started under Art. 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code.

Incident at the Russian Foreign Ministry named “terrorist act”. The Foreign Ministry said in a statement released tonight on the Foreign Ministry’s website that a Molotov cocktail thrown in the direction of the consulate’s entrance caught fire and posed a threat to the security of the foreign establishment.

“On this occasion, the Consulate General of Russia sent a note to the regional office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and an appeal addressed to the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lvov with a demand to take urgent measures to improve the security of the institution and its employees, as well as to search for and punish those responsible. The Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine in the Russian Federation Vasily Pokotylo was also summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, to whom “a decisive protest was made.”

Earlier, Focus reported that on the morning of October 22 the house of the deputy head of the President’s Office in charge of European integration was tried to be set on fire with a Molotov cocktail.

Also in Transcarpathia, a “Molotov cocktail” was thrown into the house of a deputy from the “Servant of the People”.
