Moller Auto is building a 15 million euro dealer center in Riga :: Dienas Bizness

By investing almost 15 million euros, “Moller Auto” has started the construction of an “Audi” dealership in Riga, in Kārļas Ulmanias gatve.

It will be the largest and most sustainable dealer center of the “Moller Auto” group of companies in Latvia, which will meet the A-class energy efficiency standard. It will be possible to buy new and slightly used “Audi” brand cars, including the latest electric car models, as well as carry out car repairs and buy car spare parts.

The construction works of the modern “Audi” center were started last year and are planned to be completed in the second half of 2023, with the new car showroom starting work at the end of 2023. The building of the “Audi” dealer center will have two floors with a total area of 3,672 m2, while the total land area is 23,281 m2.

The first floor of the building will be dedicated to the exhibition of cars, as well as car service premises.

Adhering to the principles of sustainability, great importance will be devoted to promoting the productivity and well-being of employees, therefore, modern office spaces for employees will be placed on the second floor of the building.

“One of our values is sustainability, which we actively integrate into business processes. With the opening of the new center, the company’s goal will be to promote the faster entry of innovative and sustainable solutions into the Latvian auto industry. The new dealer center is a very important investment project, the construction of which will allow us to significantly increase the car purchase opportunities of our existing and potential customers, as well as access to car repair and other services. By building this dealership, we want to be more accessible to our customers, providing the opportunity to purchase vehicles in a modern environment, where services such as car leasing, insurance, purchase of spare parts, etc. are simultaneously available. It is important to add that this dealership will be built and equipped in accordance with the global Audi high-quality standards, which will be introduced on such an ambitious scale in Latvia for the first time,” comments Izīda Gerkena, executive director of the Moller Auto group of companies in the Baltics.

In order to ensure compliance with class A energy efficiency standards, it is planned that the new center will be heated with a combined gas and heat pump heating solution. It is also expected that in the future the roof of the building will be covered with solar panels, creating an alternative source of electricity. In the coming years, places for 65 electric car charging stations will be installed near the building.

“Even now, one third of the Audi vehicles sold by Moller Auto are electric cars. Therefore, thinking about future mobility, a specially adapted area for working with electric cars will be created in the car service of the new center. The service equipment also includes modern car lifts, an automatic four-wheel washing system, as well as the newest car wheel balancing stands on the market, which are able not only to simulate real car driving conditions on the road, but also to determine even the smallest deviations from the norm in the operation of the vehicle’s running system. There will also be four fully equipped car washes in the center,” says I. Gerkena.

In general, the “Moller Auto” group of companies operates in all three Baltic countries, representing the “Volkswagen” and “Audi” car brands in Latvia and Lithuania, the “Volkswagen” brand and Škoda authorized service in Estonia. “Moller Auto” group of companies in the Baltics consists of nine companies – their total turnover in the Baltics in 2021 was 267 million euros, profit – 5 million euros.
