The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova on Friday summoned Russian Ambassador Oleg Vasnetsov because of the words of the Russian general that one of goals of the war in Ukraine is “exit to Transnistria”. This is reported on site Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova.

The ambassador was told that Moldova was “deeply concerned” by the words of Rustam Minnekaev, commander of the troops of the Central Military District.
“The Foreign Ministry considers these statements unfounded and contrary to the position of the Russian Federation in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country,” the message says.
In addition, Vasnetsov was reminded that Moldova is a neutral country.
