the essentials The community of communes organizes workshops on the question of movement.
The 2024 edition of the Mental Health Information Weeks (SIMS) puts the movement in the spotlight, riding the mobilizing wave of the 2024 Olympic Games. The Local Mental Health Council of Terres des Confluences has chosen to bounce back also, by offering a reflection to the general public around the impact of movement (whatever it is, physical or psychological) on our mental health.
“Indeed, we all see it, and the post-health crisis period has confirmed this reality, we are stuck in a certain immobility at the physical level,” explains the community of municipalities in a press release.
But this reality needs to be studied more closely: what links between physical and psychological movement? How does movement impact, positively or negatively, our mental health? How can we make it a unique resource for everyone in their mental health?
“All these reflections will be explored throughout the different times offered, whether in the choreographic creation workshops offered on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, or during the evening open to the general public that we offer,” specifies the communications department.
On the program:
– Belleperche Abbey, Wednesday October 9 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: “dance and choreographic creation” workshop.
– Chapelle du Séminaire in Moissac (boulevard Léon-Cladel), Saturday October 12 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: “dance and choreographic creation” workshop.
– Chapelle du Séminaire in Moissac, Saturday October 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.: “Movement is life” evening.
