The 40th Wado Ryu French Cup took place in Montauban, in the presence of the president of the French karate federation, Francis Didier and the national head of the Wado Ryu style, Patrice Belrhiiti. Four students from the Moissaga club honored with their presence this beautiful event organized in the very pretty Jacques-Chirac room.
In the morning, Mohamed appeared in minims for the fights. Despite the crowd and the noise, he faced his competition with envy and determination. The club of Moissac thanks Youssef, professor of the Castelsarrasin Karate Club for his help in coaching Mohamed. In the afternoon, place was made for the technicians with the katas. In pupils, Louca carried out his kata without error and with application. Baptiste climbed to the small final for 3rd place. Despite his enthusiasm, he came across stronger. Maëlle passed her two laps with the brilliance that we know her. Focused and determined, she won for the seventh time in a row the Coupe de France Wado in the junior category.
The four competitors from Moissaga have once again shown behavior that respects the values of this discipline. For Mohamed, Louca and Baptiste they discovered behind the scenes of a major national competition. Their courage to get on the tatami despite the stress is up to the expectations of the club. This experience is positive for them and the defeat on the tatami gave way to a great victory which is that of their presence in this Coupe de France. Well done again.
As for Maëlle, victory suits her so well… Despite the pressure of the result, she knows how to concentrate on her objective and keep this confidence and this strength which ultimately leads her to the gold medal. A big congratulations to her.
Finally, Christophe our national referee was present to officiate all day. Dominique and Stéphane for their part actively participated in the organization of this competition.
A big thank you to the parents of Louca, Baptiste, Maëlle and Mohamed for their reassuring presence for the children. Training continues for the next end-of-season departmental competitions and for grade preparation.
