Moisés Ruz and Nuria Postigo will be the town crier and poster artist for the Velá de Santiago and Santa Ana 2021 | Radio Sevilla | Hour 14 Seville

The Organizing Commission of the Velá de Santa Ana and Santiago of the Triana District has appointed the journalist Moisés Ruz as a town crier for its 2021 edition, which will also feature the artist Nuria Postigo as the poster artist. Likewise, the commission has agreed that the journalist Araceli Limón will be the host of the act in which the proclamation will be delivered and that it will also have the Municipal Symphonic Band of Seville, a musical group attached to the Major Festivals Area of ​​the City Council.

With this act, the program of cultural, sports and leisure activities that will take place between July 20 and 26 throughout the Triana District will begin, according to the health situation.

Under the motto La Velá from the heart of Triana, this activity program aims to show that this year this major festival in Seville will be lived again, albeit in a different way, since, for the second consecutive year, there will be no assembly of booths or events with crowds.

Moisés Ruz (Chipiona, 1986) is closely linked to Triana, where he has lived since he was 3 years old. He is the son of Curro, a well-known neighborhood humorist who was the forerunner with César Cadaval of the humorous duo today known as Los Morancos. He studied at the Salesians of Triana, where one of his great devotions lies: María Auxiliadora, popularly known as La sentaíta de Triana. He has a degree in Journalism from the University of Seville and has worked in the sector since he was 19 years old. He began his professional career at Cruz de Guía de Radio Sevilla and, later, he ended up on Cadena Cope and on televisions such as Giralda TV, Canal Luz, 20TV and Ondaluz Sevilla. At present it presents the regional news of 7TV.

Ruz has delivered several proclamations such as that of the brotherhood of San Gonzalo (2007), Juventud cofrade de Triana (2009), Semana Santa de la Peña Trianera (2010), Salutation and Congratulations to Mrs. Santa Ana in Triana (2010), Holy Week de Triana (2014) or María Auxiliadora de Triana (2015).

For her part, Nuria Postigo was born in Seville in 1976 into a family of artists. Graduated in Fine Arts in the specialty of Painting from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Santa Isabel de Hungary of the University of Seville, she has also studied the first cycle of Art History in the Hispalense. She has worked as a graphic and web designer in different companies and currently teaches drawing and painting classes at the Rastro 18 Cultural Center and is a teacher at the Buhaira Arte Association.
