The Cultural Activities Area of the University of León (ULE) has scheduled two interesting proposals for next weekend. He Saturday February 24at 8:30 p.m. in it El Albéitar Theater A concert is planned by pianist, composer and producer Moisés P. Sánchez, who will perform an attractive program.
Moses P. Sanchez is recognized as one of the main values of the Spanish and European music scene. With their own language and a rich combination of the most diverse influences, their creations transcend the usual boundaries between genres and surprise, both for the torrent of resources they use, and for their fascinating vitality and originality.
Composer, music producer, pianist, improviser and arranger, Moisés was nominated for a Latin Grammy for his album ‘Unbalanced: concerto for ensemble’, and has received important recognition in the US and Spain. Tickets are priced at 6 euros and can be purchased at the theater box office starting at 8:15 p.m.
NARRATIVES OF THE EPHEMERAL, A PERFOMANCE FOR SUNDAY
He Sunday February 25at 7:00 p.m. will begin in the El Albéitar Theater the performance titled ‘Narratives of the ephemeral’, a stage improvisation meeting of the groups ‘Improviso’ (Asturias) and ‘Jaula 13’ (León).
From musical language, sound, poetry, dance and movement, they will reveal different lines of confluence and juxtaposition that are generated within stage improvisationunderstanding this as coexistence in which, “Every proposal is modified from the moment it is shared or taken to the common level,” for what we could determine as a constant modification of narrative references, a situation that generates a subtle debate between coexistence, or sharing, and the manifestation of our desires.
Narratives of the ephemeral suggests a reading of what is not written, or what is not lived. About the subtle space that is generated between the sequence and the interval, where randomness and unpredictability briefly coexist. A moment/place that houses an amalgam of parallel realities from which to debate the literality of common time and communication.
Tickets can be purchased at the theater box office starting at 6:45 p.m. The price is 8 euros (members of the university community who show their DNI and their university card will only pay 4 euros).
