Mohanlal- Jeethu Joseph’s latest film ‘Ner’ is a courtroom thriller and the audience is looking forward to the film released in the genre.
Anthony Perumbavoor is producing the film under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
Mohanlal plays the role of advocate Vijayamohan, who has not practiced for many years. The theme of Neer is that a murder takes place in the limits of Thumpa Police Station and a lawyer played by Mohanlal named Vijaya Mohan takes up the case and then the events unfold in the court.
Now, what Jeethu Joseph said about Anthony Perumbavoor is being discussed. Jeethu Joseph says that he will never do Antony’s film because of familiarity. Jeethu says that he makes a film only if he likes the story exactly.
“My second film in the past was Mummy and Me. Its producer Joey Thomas was a friend of Anthony and asked Anthony to tell the story. At that time I knew Anthony but I did not know him. We haven’t done a movie together. When I told Anthony to tell the story, I thought the project would not happen. But Anthony Ugran heard the story and said that the film should be done anyway. That means he has a judgment. The film will happen if Anthony likes it.” This is what Jeethu Joseph said in an earlier interview to the media.
Neer is Jeethu Joseph’s latest film after ‘Kooman’ starring Asif Ali. Moreover, after the films Drishyam 1&2 and 12th Man, Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph team up again, the film is giving great expectations.
The screenplay is written by Jeethu Joseph and Shanti Mayadevi. Priyamani, Jagadish, Siddique, Ganesh Kumar, Nandu, Mathew Varghese, Dinesh Prabhakar, Shankar Induchudan, Kalesh, Kalabhavan Jinto, Shanti Mayadevi, Ramadevi and Rashmi Anil are the other main stars of the film.
Meanwhile, reports are coming out that Disney Plus Hotstar has acquired the OTT rights of the film. Official sources also inform that the film will be streamed online a month after the theatrical release.
