Dubai, October 27 / WAM / His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, opened the art exhibition that comes within the “Picasso Days” event at the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, which lasts for a week and includes a series of various activities. Which highlights the great artistic legacy of the international artist Pablo Picasso.
The event coincides with the anniversary of the birth of the international artist Picasso, and within the Mohammed bin Rashid Library’s celebration of great writers, writers and artists, through the monthly “Library Days” program of events, which showcased more than fifty works of art by visual artists, who contributed paintings inspired by the “Picasso” school in abstract art.
On its first day, the event witnessed wide participation and great interaction from the public and artists, and included a distinguished lecture entitled “Psychological Dimensions in Picasso’s Paintings,” which was delivered in the Mohammed bin Rashid Library Theater with the participation of the artist “Abdul Jabbar Wais,” who summarized Picasso’s biography and analyzed the painting “Guernica.” ), and the artist “Mona Al-Jabali,” who talked about the artistic stages in Picasso’s life, such as the blue and pink stages, and the artist “Ali Al-Abdan,” who discussed the meanings of lines in Picasso’s paintings, their psychological dimensions, and their impact on his works.
The event offers an artistic workshop on the art of abstract painting entitled “Faces from the World of Picasso,” which aims to enhance the artistic skills of the participants and provide them with an opportunity to explore the world of abstract art and learn about its different techniques and methods.
The audience and participating artists on the first day of the “Picasso Days” event praised the distinguished organization and the great contributions made by the Mohammed bin Rashid Library to support art and artists and highlight the great impact of art on society, in addition to introducing new generations to these creators and their humanitarian and creative contributions to civilization.
