The Executive Director of the “Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project”, Tahnoun Saif, said that the volume of investment in the project exceeded three billion dirhams, 30% of which is in infrastructure, while operating companies constitute 70% of the investment in facilities and equipment necessary to perform their tasks, and is expected to double. Saif added to «Emirates Today»: «Since the launch of the project, we have been able to attract major companies working in the field of aircraft maintenance and parts, as well as private aviation operators. We have signed many agreements with medium to small companies, which find an opportunity to support large companies and the aviation sector.”

Comprehensive services He continued: «More than 60 companies currently operate within (Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project) providing comprehensive services within the various business sectors of the project, such as private aviation, maintenance, repair and renewal of aircraft, offices, retail stores, education and training».

He stated that the project extends over an area of ​​seven square kilometers, at a time when the development work in the project continues. He said, “We delivered before the end of last year (the supplier complex), to be the first vertical facility in the region for the maintenance and storage of aircraft parts and spare parts, with plans to add two new phases later in the coming years, given the increasing demand for this unique facility in the region.” .

«Dubai Hillipark»

He added: «We also recently started the construction work for the second phase of the helicopter center (Dubai Hillipark), to build a hangar for helicopters. The project continues to attract companies operating in the field of aviation, to expand in the region or to establish their business, by taking advantage of the advanced infrastructure and distinguished services within the integrated system of (Dubai South) ».

Saif pointed to the increasing growth in private aviation traffic in the project, which has reached high levels in the past two years.

He said, “We are working hard to raise the ceiling of our services to achieve the best during the year 2023,” praising the vision of the leadership that continues to launch government and economic initiatives aimed at attracting investors, entrepreneurs and dignitaries from around the world to Dubai.

Saif stressed that “the advanced infrastructure and distinguished services contributed to the growth of the sector in general,” pointing out that this is part of the project’s plans to contribute to making the emirate a leading global center for aviation.

Regarding the aviation maintenance sector, Saif added: “We note the gradual return to growth of the business travel sector in the Middle East and Africa, and reaching a stage of recovery and recovery more quickly than any other region, according to the latest forecasts of the annual business travel index (2022) issued by the World Business Travel Association.” The largest business travel association in the world.

In response to a question about initiatives to enhance the project’s attractiveness to companies, Saif said: “One of the most important features of (Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project) is the advanced facilities and services it provides to small, medium and large companies working in the field of aviation.”

He continued, “We also provide all the facilities, required services, and incentives to interested companies, to support them in establishing their business within an integrated system, as the project is a free zone for private airlines and industries related to the aviation sector.”

Saif added: “We are working in (Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project) in particular, and in (Dubai South) in general, to attract major aircraft maintenance companies of all kinds that provide opportunities for medium and small companies, and we also focus on building an integrated system to meet the needs of workers in companies such as Retail stores, housing units, and training, to achieve the vision of our leadership to make the emirate a leading center for the aviation sector.
