In Tuesday’s Champions League match against AC Milan, the Egyptian football star scored another goal when he appeared on a return and knocked in the equalizer.
With that, Salah is already up to 20 goals this season in 21 games played – a statistic former Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand is impressed by.

– A joke
In BT Sports studio after the AC Milan match, Ferdinand expressed his enthusiasm for the Egyptian.
– The way he has grown and developed into a player who decides matches as he wants. 20 goals before December is an absolute joke, it is nonsense, says Ferdinand.
The former midfielder points to Salah’s career path. Before the transfer from Rome to Liverpool in 2016, few could imagine that the 29-year-old would ravage the Premier League.
– He went to Chelsea (in 2014) and obviously did not shine, and therefore he had to find a new way to find the level he is at now.
– You see Messi and Ronaldo, you look at Haaland and Mbappé, they are players you immediately thought were superstars or would become superstars, says Ferdinand.
Ferdinand is supported by former Liverpool and United player Michael Owen.
– We have seen that he almost learns the job on the road. He was a weak finisher, a completely normal finisher, at the start of his career at Chelsea and he just got better and better and better.
Shearer: – The best in the world
Also the all-time top scorer in the Premier League, Alan Shearer, is clearly impressed with Salah. He believes no one in the world is better than the right wing at the moment.
