After its first success against Real Betis (1-0), Arne Slot’s Liverpool continued its American pre-season tour against Arsenal this Wednesday evening and won again (2-1). On the Reds’ side, it was first Mohamed Salah who opened the scoring, in the 13th minute, on an opening from Harvey Elliott.
Shortly after the half-hour mark, Fábio Carvalho doubled the lead. The Portuguese international hopeful, who was loaned to Leipzig and then to Hull City Last season, he took advantage of another superb pass from Harvey Elliott to find himself directly one-on-one with Karl Hein and win his duel. Kai Havertz scored the Gunners’ only goal (40′).
