Mohamed Sadani (MGFC) “The pond derby brings us to the heart of the matter” • Actufoot • Pro / amateur football news

Mohamed, how did the preparation go?

We prepared quite well. The group resumed quite early, on June 21. We were able to play a few friendly matches which went well. The players also had to get to know each other since we have a 90% renewed workforce.

How are you before the resumption of the championship this weekend?

There is impatience because it has been a long time since we have played. With the pandemic, it’s been almost a year and a half that we are at a standstill even though there were a few meetings last season.

Does starting with the derby add motivation?

Yes, this pond derby gets us to the heart of the matter from the start. FC Martigues is one of the big guns in the hen. They are part of the teams that want to go up. We don’t have the same strategy, they have high ambitions.

What are your goals for this season?

We intend to resume this championship thoroughly. Then we will take the matches one after the other. This first match will be like the others, we will play normally.

What can we wish you for the 2021/2022 financial year?

We are already hoping to do a full season. There is also this pleasure of finding the grounds. Finally, we would like to stay in National 2 which is already our main objective.
