Mohamed Ihattaren’s attempt to revive career at Juventus proves short-lived, says Hélène Hendriks

Mohamed Ihattaren no longer trains at Juventus, says Hélène Hendriks in Today Inside . His attempt to revive his career in Turin proved short-lived.

Ihattaren has been in the news a lot in recent days. He has put his house in Vleuten up for sale, is married to Yasmine Driouech and is reportedly setting his sights on a future with her in Dubai. Two months ago he reported to Juventus to pick up his career. “He was on the right track two months ago. He was supposed to play in Serie C with Juventus Next Gen,” says Hendriks.

“But he’s back now, he’s not training anymore and I think they’re building a file at Juventus to say goodbye to him.” Johan Derksen states that Ihattaren can be ‘written off’ as a footballer. “Of course that ends badly financially with that young man. He is 21 and has earned a few pennies, but he will soon get through it, because he lives like a movie star with his crazy cars. He ends up in the gutter and then you know well what happens.”

Hendriks knows that Ihattaren’s interests are now represented by his brother. “That may have been his biggest mistake,” Derksen adds. Ihattaren was briefly coached by Wesley Sneijder, while Gerald Vanenburg and Ali Dursun also started working with him.
