Mogán will march against breast cancer on October 19

Next Saturday, October 19, World Breast Cancer Day, a pink walk will take place in Playa de Mogán to benefit the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).

The walk will depart at 7:00 p.m. from the Mogán Municipal Soccer Field and will travel along Los Marrero Avenue, Los Pescadores Paseo and Playa Avenue with its final direction towards Doctor Pedro Betancor León Square.

This activity, consolidated in the municipal events calendar since it was born nine years ago at the initiative of a resident of Playa Mogán, will feature both at the beginning and at the end of the route with a stand selling products from the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Las Palmas, so everything raised will go to the entity to contribute to research and support for people suffering from breast cancer. In Spain, around 35,312 new cases were diagnosed in 2023, according to the AECC Cancer Observatory.

The Councilor for Social Services, Grimanesa Artiles, encourages the population to participate in this activity and to do so wearing a pink t-shirt.
