JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Head of the Presidential Staff Office Moeldoko gave a signal that after retiring on November 8, TNI Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto would be recalled to assist the government.
However, according to Moeldoko, the process of Hadi Tjahjanto’s return to the government is not directly after his retirement but there is a time lag.
This is a reflection of looking for his own experience. After retiring from the TNI Commander in 2015, Moeldoko was not immediately withdrawn from assisting the government. However, there was an interval of 2.5 years until President Joko Widodo appointed him as Head of the Presidential Staff Office.

“So you don’t have to retire to get a new position and so on,” said Moeldoko in his office, Friday (11/5/2021). Quoted from Kompas.com.
Moeldoko added that the 2.5 year gap before re-entering the government was very meaningful. Because at that time he could spend time with his family.
According to him, Hadi Tjahjanto will also feel the time to spend time with his family after serving more than 35 years.
“It’s just a matter of time (Hadi Tjahjanto enters the government), we can’t give an answer yet,” said Moeldoko.
