Modrava, MasterChef and Professor Dyk are back

Only two new releases will be released this year – the series O mě se neboj with Veronika Arichteva and the comedy crime drama with Tatiana Dyková Případy údřížná Marta. But Nova assures that there are “dozens of new projects” in development. One of them is supposed to be the epic period series Department Store.

The romantic-comedy series Don’t worry about me is directed by Biser A. Arichtev. According to the creators, the plot is to follow the life and relationship somersaults of a divorcing mother of two children played by Veronika Arichteva.

Tatiana Dyková, the actress of the title role, summarized the plot of the eight-part comedy-crime series: “I think it’s a wonderful mix of comedy and crime, in which the actors have to deal with a constantly angry twice-divorced mother of three, who is brilliant but at the same time untamable an element moving individual investigations forward incredibly quickly.”

“It’s a series that combines suspense, detective story and humor. Our main character is crazy, funny and intelligent at the same time, and the way he solves cases is brilliant,” says Marek Najbrt, one of the two directors of The Extraordinary Marty Cases.

The Modrava Police, which in the past dominated viewership, will end with the last fourth row.

“The series will close with the fortieth episode, which I think is quite moving, but I won’t reveal more. However, forty episodes are enough and I don’t want the series to run out and the level to go down,” says director Jaroslav Soukup.

Vojtěch Dyk returns as Professor. The popular teacher Marek finally got together with Karolína (Beáta Kaňoková). Ulice, the detective series Specialists and the cooking show MasterChef also continue.

Internet Voyo wants to impress with the mini-series Král Šumava directed by David Ondříček and the series Gumy with Richard Krajč and David Švehlík.
The King of Šumava is played by Oskar Hes. TV Nova and Voyo development director Michal Reitler, who already worked with David Ondříček on the Czech Lion-awarded two-part film Dukla 61, is behind the miniseries.

“When the Šumava is mentioned, the coldest places in our republic, the coldest streams, and pools come to mind. Deep forests, sparsely populated. If you were ever to get lost, disappear, if a legend were to arise somewhere about a boy who refused to be caught and repeatedly escaped back and forth under the falling iron curtain, it would be in Šumava,” added Reitler.
