It was a really tight match when Oskarshamn took on Modo J20 in J20 National forts men. The match was decided only after penalties, where Modo J20 was the strongest, and the final result was thus 2-3 (0-1, 1-1, 1-0, 0-0, 0-1). Marcus Schill became the hero in the shootout.
Modo J20’s coach Emil Svelander about the match:
– We are not performing well. Too careless in the game with the puck. However, a win is always a win and I want to highlight the play in numerical disadvantage which is really good as well as the goalkeeping play.
Modo J20 took the lead after 5.14, through Marcus Schill played by Lucas Pettersson and Wille Bergström. After 9:03 in the second period, Erik Perlaky netted, and equalized for Oskarshamn.
Modo J20’s Tim Bergström scored 1-2 after 16.57 on passes from Maximilian Kilpinen and Lucas Pettersson.
4.42 into the third period, Oskarshamn’s Nace Langus netted and equalized for Oskarshamn.
The fourth period was scoreless.
This was Oskarshamn’s fourth odd-goal loss this season. It was also Modo J20’s fourth odd goal victory.
The next time the teams play in the series is Sunday, January 28. Then Oskarshamn meets Timrå J20 in Be-Ge Hockey Center at 12.00. Modo J20 take on Malmö away at 12.15.
