Modification of taxi services in Seville against the coronavirus
The Elite Taxi Sevilla association has asked the City Council to take a series of measures to protect taxi drivers from the possible contagion of the coronavirus.
One of the proposals is the limitation to three customers per vehicle, so that the passenger seat is free and thus maintains a “safe distance” with the driver.
Taxi drivers are also requesting a modification of the rest schedule, so that the daily fleet of taxis that take to the streets of the city is reduced by half.
Thus, they propose that the letters A, C, and Eurotaxis with even license plates work from Monday to Friday on even days. The letters B, D, and Eurotaxis with odd plates would go out to serve from Monday to Friday on odd days.
Weekend reinforcements should also be eliminated and these days should be observed as the current calendar indicates.
The group guarantees the safety of customers by disinfecting the taxi after each service.
