Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi ridiculed Rahul Gandhi. Modi indirectly described Rahul as the ‘leader of the viddies’. The Prime Minister’s attack on Rahul was during an election rally in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul. Modi was responding to Rahul Gandhi’s speech during an election rally in Madhya Pradesh yesterday.

“Made in China is seen on shirts, cameras and mobile phones. Have you ever seen Made in Madhya Pradesh? The day will come when a young man in China will bring out a phone made in Madhya Pradesh,” was Rahul’s speech.

“A great Congress leader said that Indians have Chinese-made mobile phones in their hands. What kind of world are you living in, Leader of Widdies? India ranks second in the world in mobile phone manufacturing.

When the Congress was in power, the production of phones in India was less than Rs 20,000 crore. Today it has reached 3.5 lakh crore. India exports phones worth Rs 1 lakh crore to other countries. Congressmen have the mental illness of not seeing the achievements of their own countrymen. “Congressmen do not know what is happening in the country,” Modi said.

He said that the corruption of Congress should end in Madhya Pradesh and the Congress has accepted defeat in the upcoming elections. Elections to 230 assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh will be held on November 17. Counting of votes is on December 3.
