The Modern Warfare 2 beta is on the way and the latest Call Of Duty game brings Infinity Ward’s signature gameplay with it. However, players have gathered their feedback online and there seems to be a major change they would like to see in the full multiplayer game. When asked to leave feedback online yesterday by Infinity Ward, the biggest issue players had was the kill time in the Modern Warfare 2 beta, which many felt was too short, resulting in faster death in a FPS game.
Many test takers agree that the upcoming game seems too fast, with some asking instead for it to be closer to the pace of Modern Warfare 2019. “The kill rate is terrible,” said one player. “They kill me before I can react.” Another player added that “M4s kill at the same rate as shotguns up close. This needs to be changed to keep close range combat interesting. Also, a small amount of survivability will encourage people to move more.”
This time around, Modern Warfare 2’s beta kill is paired with louder footsteps, which many say change the dynamics of the shooter in ways they shouldn’t. This means that friendly footsteps are also very loud, making it sometimes difficult to tell if they are friends or foes. The fan-favorite Dead Silence perk has also been changed to a Field Upgrade perk, meaning it’s no longer permanently active, but should instead cool down after being used for a limited time.
General feedback for the entire Modern Warfare 2 beta agrees that the game looks and works great, but these kinds of issues need to be addressed to iron out any inaccuracies. All of this is taken from Reddit’s official feedback thread, so Infinity Ward is likely to act on the things players criticize more constructively.
