Mymoria opens funeral boutique in Leipzig

The modern mymoria funeral home is opening its fifth funeral boutique in Germany in downtown Leipzig. The open concept also invites passers-by to browse. The location was deliberately placed in the busy center in order to make the topic of burial visible again in the middle of society.

Leipzig/Berlin. Nothing here is reminiscent of a classic funeral home. The address of the boutique, located on Hainstraße in the center of Leipzig, is also unusual for an undertaker. The shop windows offer a glimpse into bright sales and advice areas decorated with birch trunks – instead of a gloomy coffin display and urn wall. mymoria, digital market leader and pioneer of modern funeral planning, has already implemented the branch concept in Cologne, Munich, Hamburg and Nuremberg.

Now it is also much easier for people from Leipzig and the surrounding region to get advice in a personal conversation – in an atmosphere in which they can feel comfortable while they deal with farewell and funerals.

Björn Wolff, founder and managing director of mymoria: “Our boutiques should also appeal to those who are not currently dealing with a bereavement. For example, it is possible to plan a funeral plan free of charge. We hope that we can interest people here in dealing more openly with the topics of dying and farewell.”

That is why visitors will also find moving books for children and adults and informative guides as well as almost 100 other curated products such as scented candles and floral decorations in the Leipzig boutique. Comfortable seating invites you to linger, browse and chat.

The team around the boutique manager makes sure of that Paulina Vogt, Monday to Saturday, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. There is enough space for this on almost 100 square meters of retail space.

In addition to taking over traditional funeral homes, the opening of our own funeral boutiques and franchise branches is part of mymoria’s growth strategy to become the market leader, also beyond online services. The next boutique is currently being built in Frankfurt, with other cities to follow.
