GASMO II Celebrates Excellence and Rewards Students
Bobo, Sector 24 – GASMO II, a renowned educational institution, held a ceremony on June 17, 2023, to celebrate excellence within its establishment. The event was attended by students, parents, first managers of GASMO, and other distinguished guests.
A total of 52 students were honored during the ceremony, highlighting their outstanding achievements at GASMO II. Each student received a certificate of merit and a reduction in their tuition fees for the upcoming school year. The reduction ranged from 10,000 FCFA to 35,000 FCFA, much to the delight of their parents. Alassane Kaboré, president of the Association of Parents of Students (APE) of the establishment, expressed his appreciation for this initiative by the administration of GASMO II. He stated, “The initiative is noble and welcome, as it encourages our children to continue striving for excellence.”
Siméon So, the founder of the GASMO establishments, emphasized the importance of motivating children. He suggested that if they perform well, they should be rewarded to further encourage their efforts. Through these distinctions, the aim is to motivate the students to continue their academic journey and potentially improve their performance. So believes that the recipients of the day will not simply close their notebooks once they return home. Some may even request additional study materials to further enhance their learning. So also urged parents to closely follow their children’s progress and support them in their educational endeavors.
The presence of Boubacar Seye, CEO of SOFITEX, at the ceremony demonstrated his support for the founder’s initiative. Seye stated, “Everything that magnifies excellence in children deserves to be praised at its fair value.” He commended the efforts made by the students and expressed optimism for their future. Seye believes that these young individuals have the potential to become future engineers, doctors, agronomists, and more.
Among the honored students, Faouziatou Ouédraogo from the class of 5e A stood out with an exceptional annual average of 19.59/20. When asked about her achievement, Ouédraogo humbly attributed it to hard work. She shared her study routine, mentioning that she remains attentive in class and uses her room as a dedicated study space every night. Ouédraogo encouraged her classmates to adopt similar habits and offered her assistance in understanding any challenging subjects.
In a gesture of support and encouragement, the guests and the founder’s wife presented the winners with a sum of 100,000 FCFA. This not only supports the founder’s vision but also indirectly motivates the students to continue their pursuit of excellence.
