Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita are expecting their first child together. The actor, known for his role as Mitchell Pritchett in Modern Family does not want to tell if it will be a boy or a girl.
Ferguson tells in the James Corden talk show that the baby is expected in July. “I really enjoy it, but it makes me aware of my age,” says the 44-year-old actor. “I’ve been feeling the clock ticking for a while.”
When asked by talk show host Corden whether he already knows if it will be a girl or a boy, the actor answers: “It will be a human being.”
Ferguson and Mikita got married in 2013. In 2015, the actor already said that he has a child’s wish.
His desire for children may be due to his young fellow actors in Modern Family. “Watching the children grow up in the series for the past six years makes you think,” Ferguson said People. “My desire to become a father has therefore grown.”
