Due to the ongoing crisis surrounding the corona virus, the Romy Gala was canceled in mid-April, and a replacement solution has now been announced.
Corona-related is not a big gala this year on the program. Nevertheless, the TV audience should not have to do without the award ceremony, because Andi Knoll will guide you through the traditional Austrian television award on Saturday, May 23, at 8:15 p.m. in ORF 2. This year’s winners of the audience award were surprised in advance with the Romy and these moments were captured with the camera. Whoever receives the coveted trophies and where they were presented is shown in the show on the show.
In addition, this year all categories of the Romy Academy Awards – the award for filmmakers that are normally found behind the camera in film and television productions – will be mentioned in the program. The protagonists could be won over for personal playback.
