On Friday, a magnitude 5.3 earthquake, according to the USGS, shocked residents near the Midland, Texas area.
The National Seismological Service of Mexico also reported it as an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.8 335 km northwest of Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, however, moments later they deleted the publication.

For example, this Twitter user claimed that while he was on a video call with his partner, he felt the tremor in Midland, Texas, and seconds later the wave was felt in the Texas city of Lubbock.
People living in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico also reported the earthquake.
