Model S & Model X: Tesla lowers prices, but removes unlimited access to Superchargers

There is movement at Tesla. The Model S and Model X thus see their prices drop by around € 7,000 in France, but the two large models in the range no longer offer free access to the Superchargers network.

Timing can be important when buying a Tesla. Indeed, the manufacturer of electric cars continues to develop its models and sometimes revises their prices, preferring not to play discounts. Last movement to date: the two oldest and largest models in the range, the Model S and Model X, saw their prices lowered.

The price of the Model S Grande Autonomie rose from € 91,000 to € 83,990 and the Performance version from € 107,700 to € 100,990. The Model X SUV has an equivalent discount and is now exchanged for € 89,990 in the Long Range version, compared to the € 96,700 previously claimed. The Performance version goes from € 112,700 to € 106,990. However, it will be impossible to receive government aid for the purchase of an electric vehicle, the latter being reserved for vehicles under € 60,000.

On the flip side, these two models no longer benefit from unlimited access to Superchargers, which had already been removed from them before making a reappearance in the catalog. Customers will therefore have to pay € 0.24 / kWh to use Tesla’s fast charging network, but will be able to take advantage of 1,500 km of free Supercharge by being sponsored.

The price of the Model 3 does not move

Unlike the United States, where the Model 3 is now displayed starting at $ 37,990, or $ 2,000 less than before, the cheapest Tesla is not affected by this price reduction in France. Thus, it is always sold from € 49,600 (€ 46,600 bonus deducted) in Standard Plus Autonomy version.
