A model who was photographed topless while standing next to Jack Brooksbank last weekend has apologized. Erica Pelosini hadn’t considered that potential images “don’t look right” to British Princess Eugenie’s husband and his family.

Brooksbank was photographed on Friday by paparazzi sailing, swimming and sipping rosé in the company of several models off the coast of Capri in Italy. Pelosini was one of those models and even took off the top of her bikini. “I normally never go topless, but my bikini was wet so I decided to take it off,” her somewhat bizarre statement in the British newspaper Daily Mail.

“I know this didn’t look good for Jack and his family. I felt bad myself when I saw the images of Jack, surrounded by three women. Especially because his own wife was not there,” says Pelosini. Many people have jumped to conclusions after that, she says. “I’m sorry if I embarrassed Princess Eugenie and Jack like that. It wasn’t appropriate for me to be topless there.”
Mother-in-law has to intervene
Brooksbank’s ‘party photos’ were seen by many British tabloids, including Daily Mail in The Sun, published. It was insinuated that he might be unfaithful to his wife. Eugenie was at home in England with their newborn son August at the time of the photos.
Brooksbank’s mother-in-law Sarah Ferguson responded to the matter on Tuesday. According to Fergie, Brooksbank was simply doing his job as an ambassador for the tequila brand Casamigos and the tabloids completely misrepresented the photos and the story was made up. “I think it’s very important that we clarify that for the sake of Jack,” said the Duchess of York.
