Modder Goutrial has turned Half-Life: Alyx into a first-person shooter that does not require a virtual reality helmet. He posted a video demonstrating the mod on YouTube.
Goutrial took weapons and animation models from Half-Life 2. The author of the modification noted that while in the game visual artifacts and other bugs are possible. The plot and levels completely repeat Half-Life: Alyx. You can download the mod by the link.
Earlier, video blogger Gabe Follower imported a Mirage map from CS: GO to Source 2 using Half-Life: Alyx tools and specific scripts. You can read more about this. here.
Half-Life: Alyx was released on March 23, 2020. The game received high marks from critics – its rating on Metacritic is 93 points out of 100, and user ratings are 9.1 out of 10.
