When asked how proud he is to have such a big part in all of this Macromafia he says, “I just enjoyed playing, that’s all. It wasn’t until I got all the rave reviews that I started to think about it in a different way: hey, I actually did a great job.” When the interviewer remarks that he’s very modest, he laughs, “I can be quite modest, you know.”
It soon reveals false modesty, because then Oussama comes out full of confidence. “I’m a firm believer that I’m not only one of the most talked about actors, but also one of the most talented of the moment. With a lot to do,” he says. Ah, very modest indeed.
Fortunately, Oussama realizes that his words sound presumptuous. “It sounds arrogant when I say it, but it comes from a certain self-confidence I’ve built up. Simply because I know where I’m from and what I’ve had to go through.”
The actor also has no idols, in fact he is his own idol. “I’ve already been on set with most of the good Dutch actors. That’s why I know how they act, but I don’t admire them. I went my own way and created my own style. I hope more people will watch it’s my turn.”
But most people will mostly know Oussama from the incident where an underage boy flashed his genitals in the actor’s live stream on social media. He’s not with that anymore. “Life goes on, you know.”
