On April 23, the premiere of the documentary film “Mobings. Survival School ”, which opens the door to experiences of peer violence experienced in childhood and adolescence in an unusually wide and emotional way, LTV representative Anita Jansone informed. Simultaneously with the premiere of the film, a thematic story will be found on the portal LSM.lv.
Mobings are not a new phenomenon. However, the statistics in Latvia are surprising – one in three students suffers from peer violence. Children and adolescents experience physical and emotional abuse, exclusion and ridicule in a virtual environment.
“Did you know that pushing a young person out of the herd can be an existential breakdown for him? And if appropriate support is not provided promptly, can this be a basis for thought or even an attempt to commit suicide? ” said the film’s screenwriter, LTV News Service journalist Danuta Juste.
The film documents the harsh stories of mobbing victims – young people who are still studying and those who have already finished school but cannot forget their experiences share their experiences.
Gints Andžāns, an actor at the Daile Theater, revealed why he used to be above others and how he now evaluates his actions: “Unfortunately, I have been on the side of perpetrators. But I have the opportunity to share this experience, to say that it should not be done. I didn’t understand what I was doing then. “
