Negotiations took place today at Pierre Zobda-Quitman hospital following the mobilization of the UGTM Santé. A movement which caused the inaccessibility of all administrative services. The union is demanding progress on the chaotic situation of the Trinidad hospital but also the respect of staff replacement agreements. This claim is aimed in particular at the hospital pharmacy service, where there has been no medical secretary for more than a month, for lack of replacement. A position which is nevertheless essential, since this pharmacy must provide patients with specific drugs, not found in town pharmacies, and which therefore requires the presence of the medical secretary to deliver the drugs. The union is therefore demanding the application of the 2017 agreements, which provide for a replacement of staff after four days of absence. The management of the Martinique University Hospital explains for its part that the replacements cannot be made due to lack of financial means. After discussions started today, it was agreed that the secretary should be replaced from Wednesday. Insufficient progress for the UGTM Health, which provides for a new mobilization on Monday.
