Mobilization against pension reform: Sciences Po Nancy students block their establishment

“Government freewheeling, young people cheered up”here is the slogan inscribed on a huge banner which bars the main entrance to Sciences Po, avenue de Strasbourg in Nancy. And to make sure no one gets in, the striking students erected a barricade of garbage containers.

Lou, a sophomore at the facility, sits on one of the containers and says she’s determined to stay there all day: “We got up very early this morning to set up this picket, but the management managed to circumvent our movement by offering distance learning courses to non-striking students, which we strongly denounce.

“This reform will penalize us heavily”

The mobilization of students is part of the 6th day of g
dream and demonstration against the pension reform, currently under consideration in the Senate. “Of course we feel concerned by this unfair and discriminatory reform”, adds Lou “not only does it affect our loved ones, but it will penalize us heavily, because we will enter the labor market latel”.

Is the blocking renewable? “It is at the end of a general assembly that we will organize at the end of the afternoon that this will be decided” explains the student.
