Mobiles beat out Smash into pieces mask – went black on stage | Melodifestivalen

Smash into pieces is ready for its second straight Melodifestival and the band hopes to build on last year’s success and make it all the way to the final.

During Saturday’s dress rehearsal, however, the band ran into patrol in their upload. The silent, neon-masked The Apocalypse DJ, who plays drums in the band, didn’t shine. And if the parts of his stage clothes that are supposed to light up don’t light up, he won’t be seen.

Mikael Klingvall is responsible for the band’s technology. In a text message to Expressen, he says that they have searched for the reason why the suit was completely black.

“We believe that the signals from the mobile phones of all the lovely audiences beat out the mask’s signals. But we have a backup solution so it should work flawlessly tonight.”
